Miami Dade Complies with State Requirements Using New Technology

Miami Dade, with 544,000 improved parcels, has contracted with Yotta MVS for innovative field and desktop review technology and techniques to comply with a Florida statue to conduct an annual review of 20% of their properties each year.  The project involves:

• Paper-to-digital Sketch Conversion
• Geo-referencing Sketches over Orthophotography
• Flagging CAMA Sketches that don't match what is on the ground
• Using Florida Certified Appraisers to Review Property Characteristics in the field
• Collecting x,y Coordinates
• Verifying Site Addresses
• Capturing a High Resolution Street-view Image to Confirm

The process is expected to not only save money, but will also play a major role in the discovery of improvements that are not already on the tax roll.
